2007 proved to be a very fortunate year for From Lot to Spot. We have been surrounded by people, leaders, organizations and movements that are working to create a healthier, greener Los Angeles. As development projects most often are, it has been a difficult but very rewarding experience working on our first project in the City of Hawthorne. The community has come together to voice their concerns, request they be heard and work to revitalize their community. It is clear these communities are fighting for services they need, for revitalization they deserve and for their own distinct identities. It is the goal of From Lot to Spot to facilitate the necessary dialogue and action to create change in these neighborhoods.

We look forward to the partnerships, the prosperity and the road to revitalization through beautification in 2008. We look forward to continue in working together to create vibrant social spaces for people, by people. It is necessary that these spaces exist in order for neighborhoods to grow and in turn, for cities to thrive. We look forward to the magic that happens when communities come together for change.
