As a resident and as a passionate advocate for access to health and recreation opportunities for low income communities, i strongly support Hawthorne’s inclusion in the Southbay Bicycle Masterplan. It is unfortunate that Hawthorne and Inglewood were omitted from the plan and are also the 2 Southbay communities who need recreation opportunities and advocacy the most. I believe the omission of these cities is not intentional but is completely unacceptable for a publicly-funded project whose primary purpose was to create an ALL-inclusive master plan. it is actions like these that shape a community. From Lot to Spot looks forward to collaborating with folks to make sure 10 years from now we’re not discussing the plan that could have been the watershed moment for Hawthorne healthy living.
